Is This Ketuanan Melayu??

Hi and vanakam to all. The issue of Ketuanan Melayu is reaching the boiling level (I mean becoming hot). I was blog hopping, updating myself with political news and finding about Mahathir quiting UMNO (this old man look stupid to me). I read this comment from a person named “chanatak” in the Malaysia-Today.Net, RPK punyer nie!!
This human explained something about ketuanan Melayu. Lets read…
Ketuanan Melayu? Malays have lost the love and the pride for their culture and language la. Malays don’t think that their own culture and language is something glamor anymore. Not being “glamor” means not having “class” anymore. Intellectual giant? My toe. Intellectual nincompoop and a blind one who is looking only at ketuanan from the point of money and corruption. He is nothing more than one of the products of UMNO’s scholarship for non-scholars.
Malays are no longer proud of their own culture and language. And that’s a cold hard everyday fact. Don’t believe it? Just consider these:
1) Look at Malay names - See how fancifully western they have become. Diana … Erra … Sam ….. Sham …. Jo ….. Annie . Very often shortened to sound like western names so that it is glamor …. sad. That’s Ketuanan Melayu for you.
2) See how the language is corrupted officially and informally. Integration of foreign words doubtlessly enriches a language. But deliberately using copying foreign words to replace an ethnic word ( when the ethnic language already has such a word, often more than one ) is corruption … and it is prostituted if the reason for doing so is simply to boost ego. How?e.g Formally : Duplikasi …. ( penyalinan ); Situasi( peristiwa, keadaan);
Kommunikasi ( Perhubungan ); artis ( seniman )e.g Informally : I ( saya, aku ), You ( kamu, awak, hang, engkau, kau )
… sad. But that’s Ketuanan Melayu for you.
3) Where is the beautiful and graceful selendang? It has been replaced by an ugly looking arabic piece. Malays think ( male and female ) looking like an Arab is better looking like a Malay. To look like a Malay to them is too kampungish ….. … sad. But that’s Ketuanan Melayu for you.
4) Go to any Malay restaurant. You are likely to find Malays eating with fork and spoon. But you may find non Malays eating with their fingers. Malay culture is second class. Eating with fork and spoon is first class.
… sad. And that’s Ketuanan Melayu for you.
I’m just sharing, I’m neither politician nor racist

wow.. true that, i won’t disagree Malays being “westernised”. Most Malays are ‘corrupted’ nowadays. when i say these things to people who doesn’t understand ketuanan melayu, they say i’m back stabbing my own culture. i am not. it’s a true enough fact. ‘Malays has forgotten Mala’. oh btw, to me, Mahathir is so far way better than Pak Lah.
